Dutch Trade Mission to Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland
From 9 until 12 October 2018 a Dutch Trade Mission to Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland will be led by the Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation Sigrid Kaag and the Minister for Health, Welfare and Sport Hugo de Jonge. This mission will run in parallel with the visit of His Majesty King Willem-Alexander and Her Majesty Queen Máxima to these German regions. The King and Queen will attend several programme items.
As part of the trade mission a matchmaking event on E-Health and Elderly Care will be organised by the Enterprise Europe Network on Thursday 11 October in Saarbrücken. The matchmaking event will comprise face-to-face meetings with the intention to establish international partnerships between companies, especially small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as between companies, researchers and technologists.
Given the region’s history and its location at the border with France and Luxembourg, the issue of European cooperation is a major topic of discussion in these states. Attention will be given to both these issues during this visit. Therefore, the matchmaking will also be open for participants from Grand Est France and Luxemburg.
